On August 5, the 2016 summer Olympics kick off in Rio, and we’re eager to watch our favorite athletes represent the USA! But wait, where’s lacrosse on the roster of events?
Lacrosse was an Olympic sport in the 1904 and 1908 summer games. Canada, the USA, and Great Britain competed in men’s lacrosse, and Canada took the gold each year (although Great Britain only competed in the 1904 competition).

As you may have read online or in a recent e-blast, I was recently selected as a finalist for the "Visionary of the Year" award for my role in creating Swax Lax and Swax Lax Lacrosse camps and clinics. The award finalists were presented by B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow), a national organization dedicated to building entrepreneurship and leadership opportunities for women of all ages.
