#LaxCon2019 Recap and Highlights
It was good to be back!!
The US Lacrosse Convention and Fan Fest (LaxCon 2019) landed in The City of Brotherly Love this past weekend, Jan. 11-13, and we had a blast connecting with with hundreds of fans, parents, players, pros, coaches, athletic directors, officials, fellow vendors, and more!
According to US Lacrosse, this year’s event drew 7,385 participants, and there were more than 150 speakers presenting on engaging topics that fostered learning and continued growth of the game we all love. LaxCon truly offers something for everyone in the lacrosse community, and each year I come away feeling excited and energized about the future of the sport. I’m inspired by all the great people in this community who all share one common goal: honor and grow the game!
Here are some of our favorite moments, products, highlights, and #LaxCon2019 content from the show!
Swax Lax Power Weights
At LaxCon, we introduced our newest product, the Swax Lax Power Weights to the lacrosse community. Power Weights convert any lacrosse stick into a strength training tool that helps develop lacrosse-specific muscles and improve a player's stick work. You can use the weighted device to pass, catch, scoop, dodge, and shoot without interference to your shaft or pocket.
Our Power Weights were a huge hit at LaxCon and sold out immediately! That means they're out of stock until mid to late February. But, we’ll let you know as soon as they arrive — just fill out this form and we'll send you an email alert!
Fantum Lacrosse

Fantum Lacrosse is dedicated to providing the highest quality wood shaft in the game. Their products are amazing, their entire booth was just awesome, they are so talented and they made the #2 spot in Lacrosse All Stars’ recap of “Top 5 LaxCon Booths.” We were thrilled they used our Swax Lax balls for demo in their booth!
All Ball Pro

There are plenty of good rebounders out there but our favorite is the Cadillac of all rebounders: The All Ball Pro. Innovative, durable, and high quality, they truly offer some of the best rebounders we’ve ever come across. They’re also some of the nicest and most passionate people in the community, and we had a blast paling around with them at the show. And, because Swax Lax balls are great for rebounders, they exclusively used our balls in their booth for demos. Thanks, fellas!
Nature Boy Lacrosse Company
The boys at Nature Boy Lacrosse take pride in making the craziest and best hand-crafted mini-sticks on the market and that comes through in every stick they produce. They had some beauties on display at LaxCon 2019 and all of their wood sticks are made right in our neighboring state, New York.
Virtual Goalie

The Virtual Goalie booth was popular and crowded all weekend long. They launched at last year’s LaxCon, but their big announcement this year is that their game now features women lacrosse players! And, we just love that this was all created by a father/son duo!
Premier Lacrosse League

Innovative products and fun booths aside, the talk of the convention circled around one hot thing: the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). LaxCon gave the lacrosse community its first and much-anticipated interaction with the player-led and fan-focused PLL, including access to CEO and co-founders, Paul and Mike Rabill. Attendees were able to talk with the players and executives of the newest professional lacrosse league and their big announcements included host-city finalists, partnerships with STX Men’s Lacrosse and NBCSports, collaborating with the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League and more of the world’s best players.
Speaking of the World’s Best Players...

We were thrilled to run into Trevor Baptiste, f/o specialist with the PLL, Team USA, and NLL. Did you know our Swax Lax team member Kevin Meany used to coach Trevor at The Morristown Beard School in New Jersey? Trevor is one of those guys that is just impossible to dislike, and we’re glad we got to see him this weekend. We are thankful for this continued support of Swax Lax, and especially for the awesome work we did together during our #thankyoucoach initiative!
We also were thrilled to witness the fastest lacrosse shot in the history of lacrosse on Saturday! Nick Diegel clocked a shot in at 123.1 mph at the STX Lacrosse booth like an absolute beast! Watch it here!
FanFest
Saturday’s Fan Fest broke a record with 2,915 attendees, according to USlacrosse.org. It was so gratifying and moving to hear feedback on our products directly from customers during FanFest. We spent Saturday listening to our fans talk to us about our product and how it has changed the way they train for the game or coach their youngest players whom we call our“littles” — and I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you.
LaxCon 2020 is already set for Jan. 10–12, 2020 in Philadelphia, and we hope to see you next year!
